Curriculum

Because God authored all truth, we are bound to teach truth from His point of view and according to His purposes. Thus, biblical principles are woven into every subject and activity, to help each student develop a lifelong commitment to a biblical worldview.

We primarily use BJUPress which is one of the largest suppliers of Christian-based curriculum. The proven materials blend factual knowledge and critical thinking skills with biblical truth. The curriculum is organized, systematic, and sequential, which assures coverage of essential concepts students need to succeed after graduation.

We use A Beka Books for language arts at all levels and Glencoe publishers for math in most 6 - 12 grade classes.

BBCS primarily uses BJU Press which is one of the largest suppliers of Christian-based curriculum. The proven materials blend factual knowledge and critical thinking skills with biblical truth. The curriculum is organized, systematic, and sequential, which assures coverage of essential concepts students need to succeed after graduation.

Here’s a sample of the advantages our teachers find using BJU Press materials.

The publishers at Glencoe do a great job of building bridges to successful learning by providing avenues of enrichment to various types of students. Each lesson is filled with colorful content that contains a good range of both simple and difficult examples, allowing the learner to explore the concept as quickly or as thoroughly as time allows. The textbook review sections, along with the free online study tools, make this curriculum a great guide for those seeking an advanced math education.

The Abeka Language Arts is a thorough and comprehensive program aimed at preparing the elementary students for junior high and beyond. I enjoy using it to give them a strong foundation.

I really appreciate that Bible principles are woven in each subject of the curriculum. I also like how they teach critical thinking skills. -- Mrs. Petersen

The BJU Music recordings are an excellent mix of familiar folk songs, godly hymns, classical pieces, and unique new tunes.  BJU helps us promote God-honoring music standards in our school.

Touch Math is a great tool for struggling students who have difficulty memorizing their math facts. It is a hands on approach that is quickly learned and understood.
