Personally, my classroom will look a little different when the parents and students come on Saturday morning for orientation. We'll see how long the seats stay in the current configuration, but no matter what, I can say I tried.
When it comes to schoolwork, I hope you too can say you tried. Tried your best, in fact. I think it can be biblically proven that it is a sin to do less than your best. And in listening to the words of the Apostle Paul from Philippians 3:14:
KJV: I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
NIV: I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus
ESV: I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus
So while our classrooms are coming together, I hope your attitude towards school, your willingness to work, and your desire to learn haven't faded through summer's endeavors. I pray that you are willing in each class to press toward the mark, to reach toward perfection, and be willing to help your fellow classmates get there too.
